Company History

Casella Lighting manufactures superior quality lamps using a process that has been time-tested for over 75 years. As the exclusive makers of renowned Casella Lamps, artisans at Casella are skilled craftspeople who build and assemble each lamp according to exact customer specifications.

The Casella name has been associated with fine luminaries for over seven decades. Founded in the 1930s by San Francisco artist Alfred J. Casella, the family-owned business established its roots winning commissions to produce distinctive, one-of-a-kind designs for some of the most prestigious homes, civic buildings and hotels.

Casella Lighting offers a distinctive collection of swing arm wall lamps, floor lamps, torchieres, sconces and other specialty lighting products. The craftsmanship associated with Casella Lamps continues to be a trademark at Casella Lighting.

In 2001, the Bird family, longtime friends of the Casella family, acquired the manufacturing assets and designs for Casella products. Though recent owners, they have a long history with Casella and an intimate knowledge of the artistry and care that hallmarks each Casella lamp.

Steve and Chuck Bird are excited to carry the Casella name and mystique forward, recognizing that the brand has a tremendous reputation and a loyal following. They are committed to supreme quality and personal service.

Other longtime Casella employees have joined the Casella team as well, bringing decades of experience and adding continuity during the transition. The production process of the Casella product remains undiminished.
